Melanie is an adult cat that can usually be found sprawled out in a cubby hole in our cat room.  She has pretty tabby markings and neat tufts on her ears that make her look like a mini-bobcat!  Melanie is usually shy with new people, but our workers and volunteers eventually earn her trust and are rewarded with getting to pet her.  A new owner would have to be very patient and kind to earn Melanie's trust.  She's looking for a home that will allow her to be the independent woman that she is.  Plus a lot of nice places to curl up and catnap would be great too!
