One-year-old Great Dane Olive greets people at Paula Powell's home with a friendly sniff and leans with her bulky but skeletal frame.

This event was a success and the music, silent auction, food and gift card gamble were all enjoyed. A big thanks to all those who contributed and/or attended the event as the money raised will be directly helping the cats and dogs at Adopt-a-Pet.

Our Mayor, Will Armstrong, at the request of PAWS and AAP, proclamed 12/9/2009 as "Dr.Bain Cate Day" in honor of what he did securing a grant for free spay/neuter for people on a government program (i.e. Medicare, Medicaid, disability). This grant spayed/neutered 993 dogs and cats in the 2 years Victoria County had the grant!
